Loss & Liminality Studio | Faye Nixon
This assignment captures the essence of a liminal space in Knoxville, TN. Working collaboratively, we design two one-mile walking routes through East Knoxville and document them with photographs reflecting the neighborhood’s identity. Individually, these images form the basis for analog post-processing. After several tests, I develop a method of physical editing. That involved strategic cutting and layering that combines two photographs into one narrative.
